Candidates attending The POVA course will gain a basic knowledge of the forms and symptoms of abuse and it should be dealt with. Key components include:
- Understanding the nature of abuse
- Understanding the nature of neglect
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of abuse
- Understanding when and how to respond to abuse and neglect
